Fall Liturgical Ministry Workshops

The Archdiocese of Hartford Office of Worship has scheduled fall liturgical ministry regional workshops, some of which will be held at our parish. These are for NEWLY commissioned, those thinking about the ministry, and those who did NOT attend a regional Archdiocesan training session last year.

Sessions below will be conducted in English at St. Francis Church, 6:30-8:30 pm. Bilingual sessions will be held at other locations – see registration webpage below.

This fall’s topics include:

Tuesday, September 8 – Formation Session for NEW Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Tuesday, September 15 – Formation Session for NEW Lectors
Tuesday, October 6 – Formation Session for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound. This is for those ministers who bring communion to the sick and homebound. We’ll cover important mandates, care and custody of the Eucharist, making a pastoral visit, and review the official ritual given to lay persons in distributing communion to the sick and homebound.
