Bottles and cans for redemption

Our parish accepts donations of redeemable metal cans and plastic bottles.

Here is what you need to know:

• All “CT 10¢” deposit beverage containers are accepted.
• Containers should be empty, dry and in their original condition.
• Drop off 24/7 in front of St. Francis Garage.
• Please mark bags SJPGP

Plastic bottles – water, soda and juice must be separated

• 12-16 oz., up to 100 bottles per bag
• 1-liter, up to 60 bottles per bag
• 2-liter, up to 40 bottles per bag
• No milk containers or plastic larger than 2-liter accepted

Metal cans – alcohol and non-alcoholic must be separated

• Up to 200 cans per bag
• Do not crush cans.

Important: We do NOT accept glass containers at the parish.

If you wish to assist the parish by redeeming glass bottles, please bring to the “Bottle Collect” Torrington Redemption Center, 35 Baeder St., Mon-Sat, 9:00-4:00pm.

Mark the bags “SJPGP” to ensure the parish will receive credit. Glass bottles will only be accepted in original boxes. Loose bottles will not be accepted.
