Consider serving in the Protect the Flock ministry

03-02-2024From the PastorRev. Emmanuel I. Ihemedu

Dear Parishioners of St. John Paul the Great Parish,

I am excited to share with you an opportunity to serve in a ministry that is close to our hearts – the Protect the Flock ministry. As the first Catholic church security program in Connecticut, Protect the Flock is dedicated to ensuring that all of us can worship in peace, free from the worry of harm. In addition to providing security, our team is also trained to assist in medical emergencies, offering comfort and support until professional help arrives.

As we approach the busy Easter season, we are seeking to expand our team. I invite you to consider joining this vital ministry and help us in our preparation for the Easter Masses. Your participation will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all who come to worship.

In a world where confusion and chaos seem to reign, where the lines between good and evil blur, and where challenges such as wars, crime, and social unrest threaten our peace, the role of Protect the Flock becomes even more critical. We must be vigilant in safeguarding our church from any external threats that could disrupt our worship and community.

I urge each of you, especially our younger ones, to consider this calling. Let us come together to protect our flock and ensure that our church remains a sanctuary of peace and safety.

For those interested in joining or learning more about Protect the Flock, please reach out to Robbie Raffa or call the parish office. Your commitment to this ministry will make a profound difference in our parish community.

May God bless you for your willingness to serve.
