Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
As we gather together in worship and fellowship, it is important to remember the significance of our time in this sacred space. Our participation in the Mass is not only an act of personal devotion but also a communal expression of our faith and unity as the Body of Christ.
In the spirit of reverence and respect, we are reminded of the importance of remaining in the church until the conclusion of the Mass. Just as we would not leave a funeral before the body has been escorted out, or a wedding before the newlyweds have departed, so too should we honor the presence of Christ in the Eucharist and in the person of the priest by waiting until the priest has processed out of the church.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that the Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life” (CCC 1324). Additionally, the priest, through the sacrament of Holy Orders, acts in persona Christi, in the person of Christ. By staying until the final blessing and the departure of the priest, we acknowledge the sanctity of the Mass and the presence of Christ among us, both in the Eucharist and in the celebrant.
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” (Matthew 18:20). Let us honor His presence by giving the Mass our full attention and respect from beginning to end.
As a community of faith, let us strive to deepen our reverence for the Holy Eucharist, the sacred liturgy, and the role of the priest as the representative of Christ. May our actions reflect our love and devotion to Christ, who is present in the breaking of the bread, the sharing of the cup, and the ministry of the priest.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo:
Al reunirnos para dar culto a Dios y encontrarnos como comunidad, es importante recordar el significado de nuestro tiempo en este lugar sagrado. Nuestra participación en Misa no es sólo un acto de devoción personal sino también una expresión comunitaria de unidad como Cuerpo de Cristo.
En espíritu de reverencia y de respeto, se nos recuerda la cia de permanecer en la iglesia hasta la conclusión de la Misa. Así como no saldríamos de un funeral hasta que el cuerpo haya sido llevado hasta afuera, o de una boda antes de que los recién casados se hayan ido, del mismo modo nosotros deberíamos honrar la presencia de Cristo en la Eucaristía en la persona del sacerdote, esperando hasta que el sacerdote haya salido de la Iglesia.
El Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica nos enseña que la Eucaristía es la fuente y culmen de la vida cristiana ” (CIC 1324). Además, el dote, por el sacramento del orden sagrado, actúa in persona Christi, en lugar de Cristo. Al quedarnos hasta la bendición final y la salida del sacerdote, reconocemos la santidad de la Misa y la presencia de Cris- to entre nosotros, tanto en la Eucaristía como en el celebrante.
En el Evangelio de Mateo, Jesús dice: Donde dos o más se reúnen en mi nombre, allí estoy yo en medio de ellos ” (Mt. 18,20). Honremos su presencia dándole a la Misa toda nuestra atención y respeto desde el principio hasta el fin.
Como comunidad de fe , esforcémonos por profundizar nuestra rencia por la Santa Eucaristía, la sagrada liturgia y el papel del sacerdote como representante de Cristo. Que nuestras acciones reflejen nuestro amor y devoción hacia Cristo, que está presente en la fracción del pan, en el compartir de la copa y el ministerio del sacerdote.
