Knights of Columbus

Knights of Columbus Solidarity Council #55 was formed with the purpose of helping and sustaining St. John Paul the Great Parish. We are looking for more men to help us in our task of supporting our pastor and the parish.

Council #55 has been active in numerous parish activities including flipping pancakes for parish Mardi Gras celebrations and the Knights Annual Pancake Breakfast which has supported the school and Two Hearts Pregnancy Center. The Council has also been a major sponsor of the Two Hearts Annual Celebration and Awards Dinner. It sponsored the first annual Men's Parish Picnic. It also holds an annual Luminaria Lighting in November to remember deceased loved ones.

Additional Knights’ activities have included coverage at First Friday Adoration, traffic control assistance for Corpus Christi Processions, setup for various special events such as anniversary dinners, various parking lot duties, help with overnight watch for the Youth Cardboard Box City. Council #55 also is a sponsor of the annual parish Christmas book gift. During the pandemic, as restrictions have been lifted, the Knights have assisted at Masses, distributing bulletins and delivering missals to the homebound.
